Masterclass Azu Tiwaline and Cinna Peyghamy
LIVE MODULAR SYNTH AND TRADITION

Talk to the artists about their approach to experimentation and improvisation, using Ableton, the modular synth and the Iranian tombak.

At the gateway to the Tunisian desert, Azu Tiwaline offers a sonic panorama of electronic universes, textured with traditional Saharan instruments and novel technological devices. Somewhere between ambient, experimental dub and tribal noise, the Franco-Tunisian dj-producer reinterprets the ecstatic trances of Berber music, dub and techno culture. She is accompanied by Franco-Iranian Cinna Peyghamy, a specialist in Persian percussion and synthetic modulations made from homemade instruments for a purely hypnotic, polyrhythmic experience.

Participant profile: All audiences, musicians and festival-goers.
