Generative Dance — Movement as Material
Performance

Initiated by Echos Electrik, this collaboration brings together dancer and choreographer Moayed Elghazouani and digital artists Gymkhana and Taj Ninny for an exploration at the intersection of dance, sound, and digital creation.

Drawing on his choreographic work and his relationship to movement and song, Moayed Elghazouani brings a physicality enriched by Tunisian gestures, rhythms, and soundscapes. His approach aligns with the research of Gymkhana and Taj Ninny, who explore the possibilities offered by digital technologies to translate and transform movement into sound and light.

The collaboration will give rise to a generative dance performance, in which each gesture interacts with the environment and contributes to the composition of a constantly evolving audiovisual experience.

Beyond the performance itself, this creative process offers, above all, a space for artists to share and exchange ideas. Each artist brings their own language, practices, and references to build a collective work, where dance meets digital creation and where sonic identities become a medium for experimentation.

The audience will also be invited to participate in this process: by taking on the role of a dancer, each person will be able to test the installation and discover how their own movements can transform sound, light, and space.

A creation built on dialogue—from artist to audience, from body to technology, from movement to sound and light.

This collaboration was launched by the Écos Électriques Association and brings together dancer and choreographer Muayad Al-Ghazwani and digital artists JemaKana and Taj Nini to explore the intersection of dance, sound, and digital creativity

Through his choreographic works and his relationship with movement and song, Mouad Ghazouani presents a physical language nourished by gestures, rhythms, and Tunisian vocal identities. His approach aligns with the research of Gemakana and Taj Nini, who explore the possibilities offered by digital technologies to translate movement and transform it into sound and light

This collaboration will result in a generative dance performance, in which every gesture interacts with the environment and contributes to the creation of an ever-evolving audiovisual experience

Beyond the performance, this creative process provides, above all, a space for collaboration and exchange among the artists. Each person brings their own language, practices, and references to build a collaborative work, where dance meets digital creativity and sonic identities become a matter of experience

The audience will also be invited to participate in this process: by taking on the role of a dancer, each individual will be able to test the system and discover how their own movements can transform sound, light, and space

Creativity built on dialogue—from the artist to the audience, from the body to technology, from gesture to sound and light
