A true pillar of Cairo’s bubbling electronic scene, 3Phaz made a name for himself with his debut album Three Phase, a powerful take on Egyptian mahraganat/shaabi. The record was released on Egyptian label 100Copies in 2020, and can be found on other singles and remixes on labels such as Rinse, Boomkat, Polaar, Nashazphone and Irsh. 3Phaz quickly found his way onto the international club music scene, which has seen him perform all over Europe. His second album, Ends Meet, was released in February 2023 on Discrepant’s Souk sub-label, followed by his DramTraTrax EP, released in May 2023 on Tratratrax. Both albums have been cited in numerous finish lists, including by Pitchfork, The Quietus and Bandcamp, to name but a few.
